In seiner dritten Folge kredenzt DIY Radio einen Exkursionsbericht von der transmediale 11. Auf dem Festival für zeitgenössische Kunst und Medienkultur wurden in diesem Jahr nämlich besonders viele Projekte vorgestellt, die zum Selber-, Mit- und Zusammenmachen einladen.
Ausserdem feiern wir das Jubiläum des Missy Magazin, das von seiner ersten Ausgabe an ein besonderes Herz für DIY-Kultur bewiesen und ausserdem anlässlich seiner 10. Ausgabe eine wunderbare Compilation mit wunderbarer Musik herausgegeben hat.

DIY radio's third show comes with a report form transmediale 11. Indeed, the berlin based festival for contemporary art and media culture featured many inspiring projects for diy, dit and diwo enthusiasts.
Moreover, we'll celebrate the jubilee of Missy Magazine, for Missy Mag is not only having an eye on DIY issue by issue, but making our day anyway.
Not to forget the 10th issue's a-k'in' compilation cd that will make your day as well!

Und schon ist es wieder Zeit für eine neue Folge unserer neuen Reige: DIY Radio! Diesmal geht es um ein Format, das viele automatisch mit Do It Yourself in Zeiten von Web 2.0 denken: Blogs.
Tatsächlich dürften Blogs durchaus mit dafür verantwortlich sein, dass Selbermachen wieder ganz gross gworden ist.
Warum eigentlich? Wir schauen uns die Sache also einmal genauer an und fragen: Was haben Weblogs mit Do It Yourself zu tun?
Wie hat sich die Szene von den Webtagebüchern der ersten Jahre bis zu den Bastel-Blogs der Gegenwart entwickelt?
Zu Gast im Studio: Inken Helldorfer, die lange Jahre als/mit Elsa Seefahrt durchs Web schipperte bzw. Kapitänin des gleichnamigen V(ideob)logs war und nun gemeinsam mit zwei Kolleginnen als Salon Hilda in Frankfurt die bereits legendäre Basteldisko veranstaltet.

Are you ready for a new show in our new series? DIY Radio! Today's show takes a look at a format that many people will directly connect with Do It Yourself in times of Web 2.0: Blogs.
Indeed, blogs seem to have contributed their part to promote and fuel nowaday's DIY culture(s). Why and how?
Let's see. We'll dive into a chapter of recent cultural history and browse through the development from the personal weblogs of the early times to the DIY blogs of today.
Our studio guest: Inken Helldorfer a.k.a. Elsa Seefahrt who sailed the web for many years with her wonderful v(ideo web)log - and lately co-founded Salon Hilda to enchant Frankfurt's local scene with the hilarious Basteldisco-nights.
