Die "Superstar Rotation" entstand ürsprünglich als wöchentliches, akustisches Update des Musikmagazins "Superstar", das ab Mitte der 90er- bis in die frühen 2000er Jahre von Frankfurt aus im Print vierteljährlich seinen Ausschnitt des Musikuniversums beleuchtete.
Bei Ausgrabungsarbeiten in Offenbach sind nun nahezu alle Ausgaben wiederentdeckt worden, Anlass genug, sich noch einmal mit der dort besprochenen Musik zu beschäftigen: Mitgründer CISR knöpft sich daher also die von ihm im Heft gepriesenen Platten erneut vor und unterzieht sie einem Zeitlosigkeitscheck.
